This statue of legendary Canadian pianist Glenn Gould
outside the Glenn Gould Studios
shows him in a hat, gloves, and coat,
an outfit he would wear even on a hot summer’s day.
A great photo opp,
access to this scuplture of the reclusive artist
is free.

The CN Tower is the tallest structure in Toronto.
It used to be the tallest structure in the world.
The observation platform
has a glass floor and
a balcony to look outside
for a great view of the city. To go up the tower costs money.
Looking up at the tower,
for the frugal tourist,
is free.

Many of the star studded galas
at the Toronto International Film Festival
every September
are held at Roy Thompson Hall.
Tickets to the galas are pricey
and can be hard to come by
but waiting outside to spot stars
is free.
A once in a lifetime experience
for the frugal traveler.
