Versailles As A Daytrip From Paris
There are numerous wonderful daytrips
from Paris
but my favorite is, hands down, the Palace Of Versailles.
Versailles was originally the site
of a royal hunting lodge
until Louis XIV built the modern structure.
It was a political move,
to move his court away from the busy city of Paris.
Now it is a palace that
a traveler could easily spend the day in.
Try to allocate it a full day.
