The Petit Trianon, Versailles
The Petit Trianon
The Belvedere
The Temple Of Love
Also further out is The Petit Trianon.
The Petit Trianon is, of course,
smaller than the Grand Trianon.
It was built by Louis XV.
Upon succession to the throne,
Louis XVI presented the building to his queen,
Marie-Antoinette (of the ‘let them eat cake’ fame).
The Belvedere
The Belvedere was designed by Mique in 1777.
The interior of the octagonal pavilion
was decorated with stuccos by Le Riche.
The domed roof was painted by Lagrenee.
The Temple Of Love
The Temple Of Love is built on an island
(the rock formation covers a bridge).
It is called that because it has a statue of Cupid,
by Bouchard, standing in its center.
