Furniture In Private Apartments At Versailles

Private Apartments Versailles

One of the disappointments
some visitors to Versailles experience
is the lack of furniture and other furnishings.
The reason is
that much of the furniture and other symbols
of the monarchy were destroyed
during the revolution.
Many paintings were transported to the Louvre.
