The gardens at Versailles are filled with fountains and sculptures
(marbles and bronzes).
It is, indeed, an outside museum.
Note: Most of the sculptures are reproductions,
the originals being housed in museums
(including the Louvre).

The Paris Pass, Paris

Museum National d’Historie Naturelle

National Museum of Natural History Paris

The Paris Pass

As with most large cities, Paris offers an unlimited pass to some of the major museums, art galleries and monuments. The Paris Pass starts at 89 €uros for two days and includes Metro fares. When we went a couple years ago, there was a one day pass and we did a whirlwind attractions tour. Not enough time to do somewhere like the Louvre properly but it did give us an indication of where we’d want to return and pay full price for.

Note: The passes start on the day, not the hour, so the frugal traveler might want to wake up early to max it out. Oh, and you can only visit each attraction once during that day.

The Museum of Natural History (shown) is, however, NOT included. Don’t assume the sights YOU want to see are included. Check first.

If you’re thinking that the Gallery Of The History Of France on the main floor of Versailles doesn’t quite fit with the rest of the building, you would be right. It is a modern addition, showcasing French History.
