but most of it is quite pricey
(imports from all over the world).
For local handicrafts,
check out the Straw Market.
For local foods (hot sauces, etc),
go to a grocery store.

Fort Fincastle (built 1793)
shaped like the bow of a ship is easy to find.
Simply look for the water tower (built 1928),
one of the taller buildings in Nassau.

The beach at Altantis in Paradise Island
is private (for patrons only)
but we wandered around
and no one gave us a rough time.
