Okay, okay, we didn’t truly get lost on Princess Cays. You see the map. Getting lost is almost impossible. What we did do is go to the wrong volleyball courts. The hubby wanted to participate in the volleyball tournament. We hustled from snorkeling to the spot. There was no one there. We waited and waited. Still no one. We finally gave up, only to find out later that the tournament was held at the OTHER volleyball courts. Oops.

Snorkeling is the main watersport in Princess Cays. Princess will rent you the gear. We brought our own. We weren’t allowed to snorkel in the crowded designated snorkel area with our own gear (this seems to be a standard cash grab for all the cruise lines on their private islands) so instead, we hiked for about ten to fifteen minutes, found a deserted stretch of the island, and snorkeled there. We found that to be a nicer experience anyway.

Princess staff sets up food stations on Princess Cays, stocking it with BBQ foods like hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, and salad. They also had brownies which were warm, partially melted by the heat, and completely delicious. There are bar facilities set up. Drinks are the same price as on the ship (i.e. expensive) but ice water is free. If you are hard up for shopping, there are stalls selling trinkets. The merchandise is expensive and not made there. Truly Princess Cays is all about the beach.
