It used to be
that feeding the pigeons
in Trafalgar Square
was one of the things to do
while in London.
Heck, even Elizabeth Taylor fed the pigeons.
No longer.
It is illegal to feed the pigeons.

Nelson’s Column appropriately stands
in the middle of Trafalgar Square.
Horatio, Viscount Nelson,
was, of course, the admiral
who commanded the British Fleet
at Trafalgar.

St Martin-in-the-Fields Church
situated on the east side
of Trafalgar Square
was built in 1721.
The design by James Gibbs
was copied all over the world,
especially in the United States.
