There are a lot of churches in Naples.
You could spend weeks exploring them all.
The bottom church (with the reddish brown tower)
is very close to the train station
(to take the commuter train to Pompeii and Sorrento).
When you see it, you know you’re close.

Santa Caterina a Formiello was founded around 1510,
and completed in 1593.
It is dedicated to the virgin martyr of Alexandria.
The church has a single-aisle Latin cross interior
covered by a barrel vault with five chapels on either side.

We didn’t take the public transportation in Naples
(weren’t there for very long and
most of the sites were within walking distance of the cruise terminal)
but we hear it is very good.
There are local buses
(tickets can be purchased at some newsstands or tobacco shops)
and a metro system.
