There was plenty of art strewn around Ravenna like this piece called Arpa Eolia. I believe it amplified people’s voices (but I didn’t get to try it out as there was a constant crowd around it).
Exterior Of Basilica Of San Vitale, Ravenna, Italy
The outside of the Basilica Of San Vitale isn’t as colorful as the inside but it is well worth a look. There are interesting arches and towers, plus tombs on the grounds.
There is no entrance fee for the Arian Baptistry and the mosaics are wonderful so this is a definite must-see for the frugal traveler in Ravenna. When we dropped by, it wasn’t crowded at all either.
