One of the treats in Japan for us
was people watching at a Tokyo train station (not pictured).
We watched women in traditional dress
(beautifully detailed komonos)
with their hair dones and white make up.
A wonderful slice of life.

This huge fellow we found in an Osaka Cemetery.
We couldn’t get too close as he was fenced off
but the detail was amazing.

Cemeteries and other burial places often tell travelers a lot about the culture.
They are also almost always free (a frugal site to see) to visit.
Remember to show proper respect for the grieving.
